Whether it’s creating, reporting, reviewing, summarising, editing or simply pondering over universal issues that bug or excite me, writing allows a big chunk of my soul to thrive. I like to make the complex more accessible and include images wherever possible because they help oxygenate my words – they give them life.
I also have a scientific background; trained in the life sciences, or more specifically pharmacology and toxicology. But don’t let that shape your image of me. I’m a curious hybrid: a creature of the Arts and Sciences. I occupy that in-between world, which can be a lonely place. Still, I’m not complaining – solitude for a writer is like petrol to a motor vehicle. It fuels and ignites great work.
